Accordionist

One of the reasons why i tend to steer away from any kind of post-processing is that i'm never sure whether the colours look right. A lot (probably most) of my photos have human subjects. If i try and play around with editing software a bit too much, they might end up with a green tinge on the skin without me ever having a clue. So here's a monochrome post.

These photos date from September 2011, about a year ago and were taken at Central Place near Flinders Lane. You've probably seen him before.

Bangkok Street Photography

Malcolm Gladwell mentioned that decisions that you make in split seconds are usually the best, or something like that. It's been a while since i read "Blink". What I did do recently though, was to plan a very last minute spontaneous trip to Singapore and Bangkok. It was an incredible eight days. Although most of my time there was spent catching up with old friends and eating (lots and lots of eating), i did manage to take the camera out and snap a few photos. Bangkok is a great place for street photography, especially after dark when the city really comes alive.

Two Birds One Stone

12 Claremont St
South Yarra

It's a stunning space. The whole industrial warehouse feel that a lot of cafes have been going for lately was starting to get a bit old. Two birds one stone's got funky lights, a huge communal table, lots of space for solo-diners, as well as cosy-looking booths that can accommodate larger groups. Four group volumetric/hybrid Synesso pumping out 5 Senses coffee with Aeropress also on offer. Very sensible all day breakfast and lunch menu with daily specials.

If i had a Tumblr..

..i'd post these photos there instead. They're completely unrelated to each other, but i think they belong on this blog. Melbourne, Madrid, London.
